-Images Don't Load-
If the comics and images aren't loading up when you visit the site, it's probably due to your firewall settings. Essentially, some firewalls don't let websites access your referrer information (that is, the website you just came from). The host I use doesn't allow remote linking of images, and by not receiving referrer information it mistakes you for trying to post my images somewhere else as it doesn't know where you came from.
To sort this out without causing a security risk, put www.comicgenesis.com on the list of allowed websites for referrer information. How this is done depends on what firewalls you use. If you use Norton Internet Security (or Norton Personal Firewall), visit Symantec's help page (or, if you have a version older than 2002, this page.) In the section where you add a website, put 'philosophymonkey.comicgen.com' or '*.comicgen.com' (with no 'http://' or 'www.' prefix).You may have to refresh your browser once you've done this to make the images appear. If you have a Norton firewall but this method doesn't work, please send me an email, and I'll try and help where I can. If you use a firewall other than Norton (McAffee Firewall, ZoneAlarm Firewall etc.) check the program's documentation, company website or help section for 'allow referrer' or something similar. Note: Allowing the host your referrer information does not compromise your security. It just lets the server know where you just came from, and nothing else.
